![]() Objective:To provide Western Riding and Horsemanship instruction for beginner, novice, intermediate, and advanced riders of all ages.
Instructor: Danielle Lawley Cassandra Lawley Riding & Horsemanship Levels: Beginner Novice Intermediate Advanced All students begin at the beginner level and may advance levels at individual’s own pace. A successful completion of a written, practical, and riding test is required to advance levels. 2010 Rates: $30.00 per lesson 20 lessons for $400.00 Schedule: Lessons are anywhere from 1-2 hours long, depending on instructor’s lesson plan. Students typically ride once per week however lesson frequency is tailored to each student’s preference. Lessons are done in groups of up to 6 riders however private lessons are also available at additional costs. A student's first 2 riding lessons are always done privately at no additional fee. Facilities: Riding lessons are given in local arena or on property round pen. Trail Rides may be substituted if riding arenas are unsuitable due to weather conditions.
. Riders are required to wear long fitted pants, and must dress appropriate for the weather. Certified hard hats and proper riding footwear is provided however personal equipment may be purchased if preferred. Every student/rider is required to sign a release form provided by Pegasus. If under the age of 19, student must have a parent or guardian sign. Assigning Horses: Horses are assigned to riders by instructor. Many factors determine the match of horse and rider, including rider’s size, riding level and horse availability. Students may request a horse prior to start of lesson however final decision is made by instructor. Students will not be assigned the same horse every lesson; a good horseperson is made on different mounts. |
